Tudor Rose Airport Parking
Case Study: 24/7 Airport Parking System Powered by Mission PC
Josh Bryan, Operations Manager Tudor Rose Airport Parking, UK.
Background
We’ve been running airport car parking at Gatwick since 1992. That’s more than thirty years of early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. We look after hundreds of customers every day, offering both Meet & Greet and Park & Ride services. Our operation runs every single day of the year, and there’s no room for downtime. If the system stops, we can’t take bookings, we can’t open gates, and customers are left waiting. That’s why, back in 2015, we decided we needed a machine we could trust completely.
Deployment
We installed a Frontline Mission PC, paired with a dedicated UPS to give it clean, uninterrupted power. From day one, it’s been responsible for running the booking and payment system, controlling the gates, handling customer communications, and keeping data in sync with the cloud.
Reliability
I can say without hesitation that this machine hasn’t missed a beat. It’s been running non-stop since the day we switched it on in 2015. Not a single minute of downtime in all those years. For a business like ours, that kind of dependability is rare—and invaluable.
Why We Chose a Frontline Mission PC
At the time, we needed something built for the long haul. Not just fast, but solid. The build quality and the way it’s put together gave us confidence right from the start, and over the years it’s proved that trust was well placed.
Lessons Learned
- Good hardware is worth the investment when your business depends on it.
- A UPS is a must if you want stability and peace of mind.
- Once you find something that works this well, you stick with it.
Outcome
Ten years later, that same Mission PC is still running at the centre of our operation. It’s not something we have to think about—it just works. And when we eventually change this system, it will be with another Frontline Mission-grade PC. When you’re running a 24/7 business, that’s exactly what you want.
